Vietnamese want to be east asian but they are not really east asian. They are south asians. This is the fact.

Its like arabs. Some of them can look european. Just like some Vietnamese can look Chinese. And like white arabs who are more prized in arab country, perhaps the Chinese looking vietnamese are more prized. But the fact is arabs are a big merging of brown arabs and white looking arabs. Same with Vietnamese. They are a mix of brown Vietnamese and CHinesey Vietnamese. Even in the same family you will get brothers and sisters who look brown and chinese, not a pure brown or a pure chinesey look even among the family.

This mean the Vietnam is austronian like the south east asian. Thailand, Laos, Phillipine also have this trait of brown and chinesey citizens. Even coming out of the same family. The Vietnam is South east asian. Not the Chinese. The Chinese are atleast consistent in whether they are brown or chinesey.

some korean seem to be deluded to think chinese want to be associated with Korean, many chinese think they are superior to everyone else in Asia, majority of chinese are not fond of being associated with Korean. Chinese however think Korean are Japanese wanna be, who love group themselves as "korean and japanese". Chinese considers themselves as continental asian, while they consider korean as peninsular asian, or "periphery", "satellite" people to the Chinese. The power hierarchy in Asia had always been Chinese at the very top, follow by distant second Japan. Chinese generally think of Korean in a context of "vassal" who still needs Chinese and American for protection, even to this day. Many chinese in fact do get offended when Korean are put along side with chinese, to them, the status between the two is so unbalanced, they think a protectorate subordinate shouldn't be put alongside with a superpower. This mentality is carried over to many foreign policy issues, where Chinese generally bypass South Korea and deal with the Americans directly when addressing North Korean issue. Chinese, especially people from Beijing, tend to think themselves in the same league as American and Russian. Any insinuation that Korean, or to a less extent Japanese, is in the league as Chinese is highly offensive to them, as if they were somehow being degraded in status and power hierarchy.

that's because chinese american, hong kong and taiwan are sided with Americans and they don't like mainland china who they considered as communists, it has nothing to do with North vs. South. If anything, they actually think northerners as poor and backward, while southerners like taiwan/Hong kong/singapore are more sophisticated, rich and prosperous. While this is more of internal conflicts, externally, Chinese collectively do think they are more superior to everyone else. Chinese think of themselves in the same league as Russian and Americans, and everyone else, especially rest of the Asians, are just current/historical vassals and subordinates to the Chinese.

Tibetans, mongolians too & other parts want to be separated from china..
I just notice that Chinese-americans are not really Chinese.. but mostly southern like Cantonese or something like that.. the Chinese exclusion act in America/Canada still somewhat is intact today.. America mostly takes immigrants from democratic part of china like hong kong, Taiwan, other south.. the only mainlanders accepted are exceptional millionaires.

I don't know what is real Chinese anymore..

just wait until Korean unify.. korea will be like japan.. also it's the other way around as well. Japanese & Koreans don't like being associated with mainland china as well.. just ask the Japanese/Koreans members here..

mainland china has to worry about japan , Russia , U.S.A.. let them all duke it out.. speaking with Russians.. they don't like china as well. there is a corporation with china/Russia but it's not alliance , only for mutual benefit against USA. .. it's even more thinner than Germany/Russia alliance in world war 2..

my point is this... Germany has learn the hard way of their ways. they gotten their every prized women raped in front of the most hardcore loyal Nazi supremacists to a group of people they consider inferior..

all these things will add-up/boiled up of racism against each other in world war 3. Asia is making the same mistake as Europeans did. which I wish to avoid..

my observation and what i learn.. why hate Chinese hate each other is because china is NOT really a country.. it's like a bunch of countries put together like roman empire..

there's a reason why French, germans, irish, Italians, Spanish didn't get along.... the rest of Europeans hated irish/Poland/Albanians eastern Europe.

<-- so basically this is a bunch of countries put together.

The Big Boss misconstrued what I said in a thread I created

    http://eastbound88.com/threads/51895...l=1#post414063

If I am able to retrieve the exact thread I'll post it up later but for now just trying to reiterate what I actually said. I basically said that if you want to compare the countries of Europe to the countries of Asia then it's not really fair for China to become compared unless you start breaking apart its economics at the level of the provinces. If you don't do that then you have a juggernaut country that is China and difficult to compare to any country in Europe. But this is only for China. The same goes for America and Russia. These are actual countries which are so large that they encompass nearly the continent that they are on.

That video you posted by Mike has nothing to do with Chinese hating each other. It has to do with his criticism of Chinese goods which aren't equally made from one manufacturer to another. Just because one manufacturer is bad doesn't mean all of them are bad.

The real reason why Chinese hate each other has to do with cultural differences. For example even as the debate between northern Chinese and southern Chinese rages on there are Chinese southerners who hate each other due to minor differences such as in the foods that they eat. I often hear the Taiwanese debate (who don't even think of themselves as Chinese but participate in Chinese cultural debates nonetheless) about how their food differs from Cantonese food served in the HK and that their food is not "stinky" and is considered real Chinese food while HK Chinese food is like Panda Express and is considered by them to be fake Chinese food and smelly and "stinky". On the flip side the HK or Cantonese person will then debate on how Taiwanese have invented all of their food which only they consider to be "real" Chinese food and is in fact "stinky" such as "stinky" tofu.

The problem is Panda Express isn't even the food that Cantonese eat and isn't served regularly in China, such as the mutilated form of orange chicken. On top of that HK isn't even where most Cantonese people reside so why make it an issue of different countries when the real issue is between the cultural differences down to the county level. Meanwhile "stinky" tofu wasn't even invented in Taiwan but in China.

You see how these debates rage on about differences at a local level and doesn't even have anything to do with provinces.

i'm more confuse??? Chinese are fighting over food culture???... the reasons why Indians/pakistan are fighting each other because some are hindu, muslims, & bunch of religions.. they hate each other to the core... they hate each other as in they want to nuke and kill each other..

the reason why so many Slavic nations broke away from Russia is because of cultural differences and they see Russia as evil bully..

explained to us please, why north & south china hate each other.. do they hate each other enough than they can break away like india/Pakistan Russia/former ussr

Koba ain't wrong, it's too simplistic to think of China as a Roman Empire like entity, it's more like Germany or Italy where people are extremely loyal to their province, then geographic location, then their nation.

Northern Italians will often slag Southern Italians and the same happens in Germany, the UK etc...
